Astros Win Division Series
Thursday, October 17th , 2075
The Division Series may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Houston Astros, however, are not complaining.

The Astros were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Oakland Athletics to advance to the League Championship Series.

Houston won the final game by a 3-2 count at O.co Coliseum and the series 3-1.

Astros first baseman Dario Carrero was named series MVP, as he hit .467 with a .556 on-base percentage. He added 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"It's not going to be the last time Oakland makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Carrero said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day."

The Houston Astros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New York Yankees - Detroit Tigers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
