League Suspends Sosa and Jimenez for Brawl Friday, August 24th, 2063 Alvin Sosa of Houston and Jose Jimenez of Oakland were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Sosa will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Jimenez was given 3 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. Sosa is hitting .239 so far this season with 52 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 85 hits including 18 home runs, 47 walks and .339 OBP. For the season Jimenez has made 33 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark and a 4.87 ERA. In pitching 57.1 innings, he has totaled 52 strikeouts and 18 walks. |
