Sands 5-for-5 for Phillies Saturday, October 5th , 2109 All game long, Philadelphia's Adam Sands was rattling the walls at O.co Coliseum and banging out base hits against the Oakland Athletics. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Phillies had a win, 9-8. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 24-year-old center fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Adam Sands hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dustin McClellan in the 8th.
