Setback for Cleveland and Andy Washburn Wednesday, September 9th , 2105 Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Andy Washburn is not healing as well as expected as he recovers from elbow inflammation and will miss an additional one week as a result. Washburn had been working with the team medical staff, but was taken to a specialist as a precaution. Examination revealed more damage than originally thought. To date this year, Washburn shows a 11-12 record, 27 starts, 155 innings, 129 strikeouts and a 4.70 ERA. |
