Grimm Wins September's Rookie Award Thursday, October 1st , 2111 Mike Grimm is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest American League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In September the Tampa Bay hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .360 average with 36 hits, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. Grimm is currently batting .311 with 12 home runs, 70 RBIs and 94 runs scored.
