20 Games in a Row for Carpenter
Sunday, September 2nd , 2108
The Minnesota Twins fell to the Cleveland Guardians in Progressive Field, even as 23-year-old second baseman Nate Carpenter upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Carpenter finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Twins from dropping the 4-2 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Carpenter. Nate Carpenter flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
Currently Carpenter is hitting .320 and has collected 9 home runs, 45 RBIs and scored 52 times, while playing in 75 games.
