Milone Batters Atlanta for 5 Hits
Friday, September 5th , 2110
Matt Milone of the Giants was unstoppable in his team's 4-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves at AT&T Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the San Francisco third baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Matt Milone singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Milone has socked 122 hits in 488 at-bats for a .250 average with 18 home runs. He is getting on base at a .307 pace and his totals also include 60 RBIs and 59 runs scored.
