4-Game Suspensions for Nyberg-Cellan Fight
Sunday, May 20th, 2046
Baseball confrontations occasionally get intense and sometimes that tension becomes too much and boils over into more than just words. This time it happened to Detroit's Johnny Nyberg and Seattle's C.J. Cellan. The two were the main participants in a fight that cleared the benches. Today both were suspended by the league for 4 games for their aggressive actions.

"I hope things settle down now," the manager of the Mariners said later. "There's no reason for us to be locked in a cycle of revenge. We all need to focus on baseball instead."

So far this season Nyberg has put up a .228 batting average with 33 hits, 7 home runs and 19 RBIs.

Cellan has taken the mound for 16 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 1-2 record with a 8.41 ERA. The Seattle reliever has limited opposing batters to a .291 batting average.
