Players Suspended in White Sox-Tigers Donnybrook Sunday, September 30th , 2108 After an intense confrontation, both the White Sox Ryan Builes and the Tigers Nestor Fuentes were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Chicago-Detroit game. Ryan Builes will miss 5 games, while Nestor Fuentes was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ryan Builes commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Currently Builes is batting .345 with 13 home runs, 63 RBIs and 119 runs scored. This season to date, Fuentes has a record of no wins and 3 losses with a 5.58 ERA, has appeared in 19 games and struck out 43 in 50 innings. |
