September's Best Rookie in a Class by Himself Monday, October 1st , 2108 Billy Barnhart earned September's Rookie of the Month honors in the American League for last month's performance. The boyish Seattle first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Barnhart hit .380 with 13 home runs, 31 RBIs and 26 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. Barnhart is hitting .305 this year with 46 home runs and 121 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .378, 62 walks and scored 119 times. |
