Braves Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, October 7th , 2110 The Atlanta Braves may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Major League Baseball. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Braves manager Dan Hoagland said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Atlanta last appeared in the postseason in 2097. This is their 13th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 164 times in their 235-year history. Atlanta last won the World Series in 2077. |
