Minnesota Halts Maurer's Hitting Steak
Friday, October 10th , 2110
Devin Maurer of the Chicago White Sox came up empty at the plate and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 24 games. Making matters even worse for the first baseman, Chicago dropped the game to the Minnesota Twins, 6-5.
"It was not a good day today," Maurer told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."
Maurer is hitting at a .283 mark this season. His stats show 23 home runs, 102 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has played 137 games for the White Sox.
