Red Sox Fowler Raps 3 Homers Sunday, September 28th , 2098 Whatever Joe Fowler ate for breakfast before his game against the Tampa Bay Rays today, it gave him some impressive power. The Boston first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Jon Nunez Sr. Stadium. His home run barrage led the Red Sox to take the 11-5 victory over the Rays. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-5, scored 4 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Joe Fowler hit a solo-shot off Vinny Gutierrez in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Quinlivan in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jason Long in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Currently Fowler has 44 home runs and a .274 batting average. |
