Lombana Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Friday, August 20th, 2066 Cleveland Indians second baseman Jose Lombana had a day to remember at Progressive Field today, ripping apart the Minnesota Twins and sparking the Indians to a 18-1 victory. Lombana wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Lombana told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Jose Lombana doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
