Miami Sends Navarro to Minnesota Wednesday, December 18th , 2080 It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for Miami and Minnesota confirmed an agreement. The Marlins dealt 24-year old 1B Victor Navarro, 29-year old 2B Philip Hazard, 24-year old minor league RHP Mike Land, and 23-year old minor league C Tobias Nunez to the Twins for 23-year old RHP Manny Rodriguez, 20-year old minor league RHP Brett Foris, 18-year old minor league RHP Dave Linkous, and a 1st round draft pick. Lifetime Navarro has connected for 63 home runs, hit .278 and driven in 162 runs. Rodriguez has appeared in 72 games and captured 6 saves. Over his career he has 8 wins and 8 losses and a 4.37 ERA. |
