Indians Lose Norton for Season

The season is ending on a bad note for Abel Norton, reliever for the Cleveland Indians. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Norton was hurt against the Kansas City Royals while throwing a pitch. He suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for at least 8 months.

This year Norton has made 43 relief appearances with 6 saves. In 54.2 innings, he has permitted 43 hits, fanned 72 hitters and recorded 5 wins and 2 losses with a 3.13 ERA.
