Fit for a King: Ruiz Wears Triple Crown Sunday, October 3rd, 2060 New York fans adore left fielder Luis Ruiz -- and for good reason -- the Yankees slugger completed a phenomenal season by winning the prestigious Triple Crown. He's the 10th player in MLB history ever to do it. The 31-year-old Ruiz led the American League in batting average, home runs and RBIs. "To win this honor is beyond belief," he said. "Just to lead in one of the categories is great. To lead in all three is unbelievable."
