League Suspends Wilder and Bourdeau for Fisticuffs
Tuesday, October 5th , 2106
Yesterday at Coca-Cola Field Noah Wilder and Andy Bourdeau got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.

Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Wilder will have to sit out 5 while Bourdeau would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.

A look at his season totals shows Wilder with 21 home runs, .301 BA, .382 OBP, 61 RBIs and 79 runs scored.

So far this season, Bourdeau has a record of 20-10 with 258 strikeouts and 64 walks in 229.1 innings and a 3.69 ERA.
