Wednesday, September 1st, 2066
Seattle fans will be disappointed to learn that Quincy Garner suffered a sore shoulder while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Seattle Mariners manager that Garner was expected to miss 7 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the closer could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

To date, Garner has 30 saves. In 52 relief appearances he has tossed 57 innings, fanned 82 and given up 25 walks with 7 wins and 7 losses. The Seattle reliever has recorded a 4.74 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .271 when he on the mound.
