Hustle Cruise to World Series with Sweep Wednesday, October 24th , 2108 It's a sweet sweep for the Las Vegas Hustle and they have won the Championship Series. The Philadelphia Phillies were not able to keep pace with the Hustle and dropped the series in short order, losing, 8-5, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Philadelphia manager John Lucidi. It's now on to the World Series for Las Vegas after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was third baseman Chris Strickland, who was named MVP. For the series, Strickland hit .444 with a .474 on-base percentage.
