Chicago's Jarred Karr Suffers Setback Wednesday, October 22nd , 2098 A bit of bad luck has fallen on the Chicago Cubs today as they learned that reliever Jarred Karr had suffered a setback in his recovery from a sprained ankle and will miss more time than expected. The team's doctors had been optimistic about the player's return date, but have now rescinded the original date. The initial guess at how much more time he'll miss is 2-3 weeks. Karr has earned no saves and a 0-0 mark this season with a 5.76 earned run average in 19 relief appearances. He has worked 25 innings, yielded 20 hits, struck out 27 batters and walked 14. |
