Players Suspended in Mets-Nationals Donnybrook
Saturday, September 25th, 2066
If there wasn't a history between Nick Parton of New York and Oscar Sosa of Washington, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Parton said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Sosa has taken the mound for 28 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 10-6 record with a 4.83 ERA. The Washington reliever has limited opposing batters to a .272 batting average.
