Chicago Loses Cooper for Year
Saturday, September 25th, 2066
Andy Cooper has to call it a season. The Chicago White Sox reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Minnesota Twins and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Cooper was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a damaged elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 13-14 months.

To date, Cooper has collected no saves in 36 relief appearances. He has rung up 76 strikeouts and 47 walks in 80 innings while registering a 5.51 ERA and a 1-2 won-lost record.
