Matias Cracks 5 Hits Saturday, October 2nd, 2066 Jose Matias did a number on the White Sox in the Kansas City 14-1 victory today, and the number was 5. The Royals second baseman banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at U.S. Cellular Field to lead his club past the Chicago White Sox. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Jose Matias singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Edgar Medina in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
