Kirby Nabs AL Javier Serrato Player of the Year Award

J.J. Kirby took Major League Baseball by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.
For his spectacular campaign, the Cleveland Guardians star has been named the 2110 American League Javier Serrato Player of the Year Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the right fielder.
On the season he compiled a .305 batting average to go with a .381 on-base percentage. The native of Monroeville, Pennsylvania also added 43 doubles, 7 triples, 28 home runs, 92 RBIs and 104 runs scored.
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 30. Marcos Iniguez of the Toronto Blue Jays finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Leo Lepe of the Chicago White Sox finished third with 4 first place votes.
