Toronto Won't Make Playoffs Monday, October 3rd , 2107 Toronto Blue Jays catcher Mike Beiriger said it is a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to miss the playoffs. The remarks came hours after the club was mathematically eliminated from 2107 postseason contention. Before this season, the Blue Jays had made the playoffs 13 times in a row. In the 131 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have missed the playoffs 103 times. Toronto has won the World Series 7 times in their history. |
