Mitchell Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, June 15th, 2046 Athletics third baseman Jake Mitchell has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 2-for-6 in today's game against the Texas Rangers. Oakland won the ballgame 10-8. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Jake Mitchell hit an RBI triple in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th. Thus far this season in 60 games Mitchell is batting .366 with no home runs, 30 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 96 hits in 262 at-bats. |
