Welt Named Top Reliever for AL Tuesday, November 16th, 2066 Paul Welt came out of the bullpen and worked through tough situations all year, and for his performance he's been named the recipient of the American League Rolaids Relief Man Award for 2066. The 32-year-old out of Renton, Washington captured the award with 43 saves in 73 relief appearances, 147 strikeouts in 93 innings and a record of 5 wins and 1 loss to go with his 1.16 ERA. "I'm thankful, it's a great honor," he told Baseball News Network. Juan Castorena of the Cleveland Indians finished second in voting, while Brian Jones of the Texas Rangers finished third. |
