Stein Gets Award for Relief Work
Thursday, November 15th, 2063
Danny Stein of the Colorado Rockies proved this season that age is just a number, as the 34-year-old relief stud turned in a season that was better than all his National League peers.

"Winning the Rolaids Relief Man Award at age 34 is something I didn't really expect, but I'll take it," he said.

Stein's strong season saw him fashion a 2.59 ERA through 139 innings. He had 15 saves in 91 relief appearances and also put up 202 strikeouts and 36 walks. Opponents hit only .198 against the tough reliever.

Danny Avery of the Colorado Rockies finished second in voting, while Jose Madrigal of the Pittsburgh Pirates finished third.
