Kansas City-New York Trade: Hensley for Samuels
Thursday, December 20th, 2063
The Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Kansas City will part with 20-year-old minor league LF Jim Hensley and a 1st round draft pick, while the Yankees have dealt 30-year-old LF Braden Samuels.

"This one took a while to figure out," said Kansas City general manager Connor Gould. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs."

Samuels is hitting .254 lifetime with 584 hits, 79 doubles, 6 triples, 167 home runs and 386 RBIs to date. He has scored 424 runs, walked 434 times and has a .372 OBP.
