Batista for Hunziker in Blockbuster Tuesday, December 7th, 2066 At a news conference this morning, the Tampa Bay Rays announced the acquisition of 28-year-old 1B Daniel Hunziker and 22-year-old minor league SS Raul Linares from the Baltimore Orioles. In exchange, the Rays have sent 32-year-old RHP Alex Batista to the Orioles. Tampa Bay will retain a portion of Batista's remaining contract. In his career Batista has notched 156 wins and 61 losses and compiled a 3.37 ERA. In his 941-game career Hunziker has hit .303 with 1105 hits, 148 home runs, and 486 RBIs and has scored 634 runs. |
