Arizona Loses 2B Forgy, Suspended by League
Saturday, March 9th, 2058
Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Matt Forgy received a 3-game suspension from the league office after he was ejected from a game with the Colorado Rockies recently.

"I knew I probably was going to be suspended," said Forgy. "We just didn't know how many games. I ain't really surprised about the suspension. What I did was wrong. You never get into it with an umpire like that. Something bad is going to happen, probably a suspension. I just hate it had to come to that."

Forgy was ejected when he complained bitterly about a called third strike. Forgy was called out by the home plate umpire. He immediately spun around and stared at the ump and then used both hands to throw his helmet to the ground. At that point, Forgy was ejected. By that time his third base coach and manager had gotten between the pair. Then Forgy climbed on the back of his coach trying to reach the umpire. After tussling with him, both men got the irate player calmed down and under control and got him to go back to the dugout and to leave the premises.
