Tellado's 20-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Wednesday, April 12th , 2090
For 20 straight games, Daniel Tellado tried to ignore his hitting streak. It wasn't easy.

Well, the 28-year-old Colorado Rockies second baseman can forget about it now -- it's over, courtesy of the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds held him hitless in 3 at-bats at Colorado Field today and snapped his consecutive-game hitting string at 20.

There was at least one good note to the end of the streak, however, as the Rockies took the win by the score of 4-3.

"I tried to ignore it for weeks, but you guys in the media wouldn't let me," he joked with reporters after the game. "I'm looking forward to some peace and quiet now."

Looking at his present stats, Tellado has compiled a .280 batting average in 6 games with a .333 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 4 runs.
