Boston Loses Elijah Richey for Season Saturday, June 1st , 2086 The Boston Red Sox and their fans were rocked today by the news that star reliever Elijah Richey would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Richey was hurt in a recent game against the Los Angeles Angels while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. His doctors think that Richey will miss about 8-9 months.
