Parker Goes 5-for-6 Against Arizona
Monday, May 7th , 2108
Ray Parker exploded for a barrage of base hits at Chase Field.
The San Diego second baseman had a field day in his team's 15-2 triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks, finishing 5-for-6.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Parker must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Ray Parker singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dan Couture in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
This year, Parker is batting .247 with 23 hits, 10 home runs, 18 RBIs, 11 walks, .330 OBP and has scored 20 runs.
