Arizona Diamondbacks Ship Vasquez to Minnesota Monday, July 31st, 2056 After prolonged negotiations Arizona agreed to ship 20-year-old minor league RHP Raul Vasquez and 19-year-old minor league 3B Mark Herndon to Minnesota for 26-year-old RHP Tony Silva and a 4th round draft pick. The deal is awaiting confirmation from the league office but neither team expects any hang-ups. "It took longer than expected," said one GM, "but we knew that the deal was going to happen." Silva has nailed down 10 saves to date. In 32.1 innings he has fanned 27 batters and walked 9. His pitching record is 2 wins and 1 loss with a 2.51 ERA. |
