Flores Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Arizona
Wednesday, August 31st, 2050
Javier Flores saw his 29-game hitting streak wither and die today during the San Diego Padres win over Arizona at The Pound as Seaport Village. The 26-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 5 at-bats by the Arizona Diamondbacks, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 6-0.

"Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Flores told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 29 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good."

Thus far in 2050 Flores is hitting .326 with 19 home runs, 60 RBIs, 108 runs scored and has compiled a .386 OBP.
