Washington-Seattle Deal: for Pagel Saturday, January 11th , 2087 The Nationals and Mariners announced a deal that was completed today. Washington sent a 2nd round draft pick to Seattle for 28-year old LHP Justin Pagel. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. Seattle will retain a portion of Pagel's remaining contract. Pagel has put up a 3.40 career ERA and fanned 951 hitters in 994.1 innings. His record stands at 69-48 with 5 saves. |
