Deal: Espinoza for Baumbach Thursday, January 22nd , 2105 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Baltimore Orioles and the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a deal that will have 20-year old minor league 1B Alex Espinoza and a 1st round draft pick heading to Philadelphia in exchange for 28-year old LF Brian Baumbach. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Over his 570-game career Baumbach has compiled a .277 batting average and collected 590 hits, 94 home runs and 305 RBIs. |
