Phillies Lose Vasquez for 4 Weeks
Tuesday, April 11th, 2051
Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against New York Mets, Phillies closer Daniel Vasquez was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 4 weeks with an oblique strain. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Philadelphia skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow.
So far this year, Vasquez has chalked up 5 saves. In 7 relief appearances, he has 9 strikeouts in 6 innings with a 1.50 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 1-0.
