Robertson Rips HR Number 400
Saturday, May 18th, 2041
The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and Frank Robertson was delighted, too. The 37-year-old Dodgers left fielder was making history with his 400th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when Robertson stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call.
"Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 400 in a 5-2 victory over St. Louis. Robertson went 2-for-3 in the game, had 2 runs batted in, and scored 1 run.
Robertson has compiled a career batting average of .293 with 2143 hits, 400 homers and 1399 RBIs.
