Chicago, Chicago Confirm Deal Thursday, January 16th , 2110 The White Sox announced today the acquisition of 26-year old RHP Alfredo Cortez from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for a 1st round draft pick. "This isn't the biggest deal out there," acknowledged the White Sox, "but it should help out both clubs." In his career, Cortez has compiled an ERA of 4.61 with 40 victories and 34 defeats and has held opponents to a .260 batting average. |
