Lamastus Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, August 4th , 2068 The Bakersfield Train Robbers fell to the Garden City Wind in Clint Lightner Field today, even as 25-year-old third baseman Jim Lamastus upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Lamastus finished with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Train Robbers from dropping the 7-4 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Lamastus. Jim Lamastus doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. Thus far this year Lamastus has hit .295 with 16 home runs and 43 RBIs. |
