Reserves Vela Out of Action Sunday, August 12th , 2068 A blow for Danny Vela today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 14-15 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Vela suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Wasco Reserves are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Vela's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. His record this year is 6-3 in 14 starts and Vela has a 3.88 ERA. |
