Chris Mono Captures PECOS Most Valuable Player Award
Thursday, August 30th , 2068
Chris Mono has visions of big money next year. And why shouldn't he? He did everything Garden City asked of him in 2068 and even exceeded the expectations of some in the final year of his contract. He might or might not re-sign with Garden City, but he's certainly earned the right to demand a big deal by wrapping up the Pecos League's Most Valuable Player Award today.

He clobbered the opposition with 78 hits, 5 doubles, no triples, 33 home runs and 68 runs batted in, while hitting .370 and scoring 59 runs.

He received 14 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Efrain Varela of the Alpine Cowboys finished second in voting, while Cesar Silva of the Wasco Reserves finished third.
