Kenter Tosses No-Hitter Against White Sands
Wednesday, July 20th, 2067
It was a fantastic day for Martinez Mackerel starter Neel Kenter and a lousy day for the White Sands Pupfish.
The Martinez hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Pupfish, as the Mackerel cruised to a 1-0 win. When it was all over, Kenter was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Kenter said later.
He rang up 11 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks while shutting White Sands down at Waterfront Park.
To this point in the season Kenter has 2 wins and 5 losses and a 1.87 ERA.
