Rios Whips Santa Fe, 5-0 Tuesday, June 5th , 2068 The Santa Fe Fuego struggled at the plate today against Invaders hurler Ernesto Rios, who shackled them on 3 hits while hurling a complete game 5-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Fuego skipper Keith Wood in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Rios finished the game with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," Roswell manager Bryan Kloppe said. "Ernesto made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." |
