Baillargeon Selected August's Top Newcomer Saturday, September 1st , 2068 Dennis Baillargeon is a latecomer to this league. The 32-year-old California first baseman is putting up quality numbers, even though he's not your traditional rookie. On the heels of posting a .321 average, the Pacific Association named him August's Rookie of the Month. He hit 9 home runs last month, knocking in 24 runs and scoring 13 runs. He banged out 26 hits and drew 3 walks to post a .349 OBP. So far this season, Baillargeon has recorded a .287 batting average with 35 hits, 10 home runs, 30 RBIs, 22 runs scored and a .331 OBP. |
