Plattsburgh's Timmers Nets EPBL Pitcher of the Year Award Sunday, September 23rd , 2068 The Pitcher of the Year Award for 2068 has been presented and the Empire Professional Baseball League winner is Jimmy Timmers of Plattsburgh. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Timmers. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Thunderbirds star told reporters. Timmers excelled with an impressive 7-4 record in 14 starts. In 77.1 innings he yielded 67 hits and 14 walks, while striking out 98 and compiling a fine 2.68 ERA. He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ruben Ortega of the New Hampshire Wild finished second in voting, while Antonio Razo of the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds finished third.
