The 26-year-old Utica Unicorns first baseman nabbed United Shore Professional Baseball League Player of the Week honors today after beating up on opposing pitchers all last week. Gonzalez's hot streak featured 9 hits in 16 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, 4 runs scored and a .562 average. For the season Gonzalez is hitting .358, batted in 31 runs with 10 home runs and 23 runs scored. |
